On 18 December 2019, the Office of the Auditor General of Zambia welcomed its new Auditor General, Dr. Dick Chellah Sichembe.  

Dr. Sichembe is an experienced Chartered Accountant and Economist. He has over 20 years’ extensive experience in public sector accounting, having held various senior positions in the public service with the highest rank being that of Accountant General. During his tenure as Accountant General, he was instrumental in the revision of the Public Finance Act 15 of 2004 to the Public Finance Management Act 1 of 2018.

He is a Fellow of both the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) UK and the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (FZICA) and also holds a Master’s Degree in Corporate Strategy and Economic Policy from Maastricht University in the Netherlands and a Doctorate in Business Administration majoring in Finance from Binary University of Malaysia.
