Regional Workshop: Communication & Stakeholder Relations

The Regional Communication Workshop will take place from 18 to 22 July in Pretoria, South Africa. The focus of the workshop will be to introduce participants to our new guidelines and templates for developing stakeholder engagement strategies, plans and policies. There will also be opportunity for participants to learn from the experiences of other SAIs and to develop their own communication skills. The key learning objectives will be to empower participants to:

• Understand how to apply the guides and templates to update or create stakeholder engagement strategies, plans and policies that are aligned to SAI strategic goals and objectives.
• Identify key performance indicators for stakeholder engagement and be able to monitor and evaluate outcomes against them.
• Understand the elements of crisis communication and establish the processes necessary for effective SAI responsiveness. Participants will be required to complete the e-learning module on Crisis Communication in preparation for attending the workshop.
