Regional Workshop: Environmental & Sustainability Assurance Training-of-Trainers

As part of our Operational Plan, we are assembling a team of regional trainers and experts in environmental and sustainability assurance. This initiative will build the regional capacity to support environmental and sustainability assurance activities. It will also have the long-term benefit for SAIs to have internal resources that can support such activities. Members of this resource team will support AFROSAI-E to develop capacity building materials and deliver training for the region.

The first activity for the resource team will be a regional workshop from 2 to 6 May 2022 in Pretoria, South Africa. During the workshop, the team will:

• Develop a framework for a two-module training programme for the audit of SDG implementation.
• Develop a Pocket Guide for the audit of gender issues (SDG 5).
• Standardise the training materials for environmental auditing.
