SUMMARY:Performance Audit 3-Module Course for 2026-2027
DESCRIPTION:We are excited to introduce a new regional 3-module course designed for performance auditors\, launching in 2026 and running through 2027. Member SAIs are invited to nominate participants to join this valuable programme. We anticipate that audits conducted by teams attending the course will take approximately 9 to 11 months. \n\n\n\nModule\nCourse modality and time \n\n\nBasic Module\nComplete e-learning in respective home SAIs by 5 June 2026.\n\n\nPre-study Module\nClassroom course in Pretoria\, 7-18 September 2026 (in-person workshop).\n\n\nMain study Module\nClassroom course in Pretoria\, 15-19 February 2027 (in-person workshop).\n\n\n\nWe invite SAIs to nominate suitable performance audit staff (a maximum of two teams of 2-3 members each) to participate in the course. Nominees should preferably exclude staff who have participated in previous module courses. Participation in the training requires a full‑time commitment from the nominated participants. \nNominated participants should register online using the link below by 15 May 2026. \nREGISTRATION LINK \nThe Secretariat will confirm candidates’ acceptance by email as soon as possible after the registration deadline. Participation is limited to 24 participants\, and registration will close once this limit is reached.

DESCRIPTION:Building on the success of previous workshops for senior managers\, we are pleased to announce a regional workshop this year\, specifically designed for team leaders\, supervisors\, and senior managers who work directly with audit teams or hold supervisory responsibilities. \nWorkshop focus areas include: \n\nStrategic and operational planning in performance auditing.\nEffective supervision and support for audit teams.\nHigh-level review of draft pre-studies and performance audit reports.\nExchange of regional experiences to foster mutual learning.\n\nWorkshop objectives: \n\nStrengthen understanding of performance audit strategies and operational planning.\nHighlight the critical role of supervision and support in enhancing audit quality.\nEmphasise the importance of reviews and quality management processes in the audit cycle.\nPromote shared learning through regional experience exchange.\n\nTo maximise the value of this intervention\, we invite SAIs to nominate participants who currently supervise and review multiple teams at an operational level and who have not previously attended similar AFROSAI-E training. \nNominated participants can click here to register.\nRegistration will close on 30 August 2026. DESCRIPTION:This webinar will walk through the Climate Watch tools most relevant to the audit work of AFROSAI-E member SAIs\, followed by an open question-and-answer session. Key tools that will be covered include: \n\nCountry profile pages: country-level snapshots of climate targets\, emissions and policies.\nNDC Tracker and NDC Explorer: tracking and comparing countries’ climate commitments.\nHistorical GHG emissions data: emissions trends by country and sector over time.\n\nLeandro Vigna\, a consultant at the World Resources Institute (WRI)\, will lead the discussion. He leads outreach and partnership initiatives for the global data platform Climate Watch. He also consults for the Bezos Earth Fund\, where he works on product management and the development of Systems Change Lab\, a climate data platform built in partnership with WRI. He holds a Master’s in Environmental Management from Yale University\, with a focus on climate change policy. SUMMARY:Regional Workshop: A-SEAT & Recommendation Tracker Administrator Training
DESCRIPTION:The A-SEAT includes functionality for recommendation tracking at the individual audit level\, with a consolidation report planned to be built into the system in due course. As the A-SEAT is intended solely for SAI use\, the Secretariat explored expanding this audit recommendation-tracking capability into a public-facing recommendation-tracking system. \nThe resulting Audit Recommendation Tracking System is a web-based platform designed to support SAIs\, stakeholders\, and audited entities in managing the lifecycle of audit recommendations. The SAI can use the tracker tool as an external-facing system during the audit (A-SEATquery) and post-audit (A-SEATtracker). \nWe invite SAIs to nominate staff to participate in an administrator workshop scheduled for 12 – 21 October 2026\, in Pretoria\, South Africa. The workshop will focus on the newly developed audit tracker system and new A-SEAT functionalities. It will aim to build the capacity of SAI A-SEAT Admin Support teams to manage the two systems effectively. \nTo ensure we achieve the workshop objective and SAIs gain the most value from this capacity-building intervention\, it is crucial that the appropriate staff attend the workshop. We invite SAIs to nominate appropriate participants who meet the following criteria: \n\nCurrently working as A-SEAT or audit tracker admin support.\nActively participated in implementing the 2024 A-SEAT updates on the SAI A-SEAT system.\nWorked as a member of the SAIs’ A-SEAT deployment and configuration team.\nHave good knowledge of the A-SEAT.\nHave some knowledge or experience in Windows or Linux operating systems.\nKnowledgeable about the SAIs’ functionality requirements for the A-SEAT.\n\nNominated participants can click here to register.
