SUMMARY:IS Audit Champions Programme - Module 1
DESCRIPTION:The IS Audit Champions Programme’s objective is to build practical capacity in the IS audit function of the SAI\, to enable them to conduct audits of critical information systems and adequately support financial\, compliance and performance auditors in the SAI. \nThe Programme is targeted at SAIs with established IS Audit sections. It is expected that SAIs nominating staff for the programme commit their teams to take part in all four modules and further support upcoming champions programmes. Additionally\, the teams will be expected to conduct specialised pilot audits in the areas covered by the Programme. \nThe four module workshops will be held as follows: \n\nModule 1: Oracle database\, Kigali\, Rwanda\, from 17 -21 July 2023\nModule 2: Financial IS Audit\, Pretoria\, South Africa\, from 13 – 17 November 2023\nModule 3: Basic Audit of MS SQL databases & Basic Audit of Active Directory\, 2024\nModule 4: Basic Audit of Networks and Firewalls\, 2024\n\nTo ensure we achieve the workshop objective and SAIs gain the most value from this capacity-building intervention\, it is crucial that the appropriate staff attend the workshop. The workshop will focus on the development of strategies and plans to engage the media\, civil society organisations\, citizens\, and staff. \n\n\nTo ensure we achieve the workshop objectives and SAIs gain the most value from this capacity-building intervention\, it is crucial that the appropriate staff attend the workshop.
