SUMMARY:Regional Workshop: A-SEAT Functionality Review & Administrator Training
DESCRIPTION:To review the functionality of the A-SEAT following SAI pilot audits and agree on the specifications for functional enhancements\, we have scheduled an A-SEAT Functionality Review and Administrator Training Workshop. The training will also build the practical capacity of SAIs’ Information Systems Management function to configure and manage the A-SEAT. \nThe workshop will take place over two weeks\, from 29 August to 8 September 2023\, in Pretoria\, South Africa. The first week (29 August to 1 September) targets SAI auditors or IT administrators who were part of the A-SEAT pilot audits. The second week (4 to 8 September 2023) targets IT administrators configuring and managing the A-SEAT. \nNominated participants should register online at https://forms.gle/xmH9nEcRoMPSb2si7 as soon as possible to secure a place in the workshop. SUMMARY:Regional Workshop: Performance Audit Supervision and Review
DESCRIPTION:The Performance Audit Supervision and Review workshop for Executive Officers (Deputy Auditors General/Assistant\, Auditors General\, Directors\, and Deputy/Assistant Directors) directly responsible for performance audits in their SAI will take place from 18 – 22 September 2023 in Pretoria\, South Africa. \nThis workshop will be facilitated by senior managers with substantial knowledge of and experience in performance auditing. They will also facilitate knowledge sharing amongst the participants based on their own experiences in the region. The workshop will cover the following four areas: \n\nOverall planning in performance auditing\, focusing on operational and strategic planning.\nSupervision and support for performance auditors and audit teams.\nReview of draft pre-studies and draft performance audit reports.\nExchange of experiences between senior managers in the region on performance auditing.\n\nThe workshop will be limited to twenty-five (25) participants. DESCRIPTION:The Regional HR Workshop this year will focus on cultivating thriving teams: empowering productivity and engagement. The workshop will expand on the 2022 ICBF results\, which shed light on the challenges SAIs face in retaining\, recognising\, and developing their staff due to various constraints. SUMMARY:Annual WGISAM workshop
DESCRIPTION:The Working Group on Information Systems Management (WGISAM) is holding its annual workshop from 25 – 29 September 2022 in Windhoek\, Namibia. The theme for this year is leveraging technology to make a difference in the lives of citizens. \nThe workshop will focus on the following topics: \n\nLeveraging technology to make a difference in the lives of citizens.\nResponding to key information systems.\nSupporting audit of critical information systems.\nUse of technology to improve audit coverage.\nFuture-ready/relevant SAI.\nApplication of big data in the audit of key information systems.\n\nWe invite SAIs to nominate WGISAM members currently participating or intending to participate in the WGISAM activities to attend the workshop. Further\, SAIs can nominate staff from the IS Audit or IS Management (ICT) units who are affected or working in the areas to be discussed.
