2025 Technical Conference

The Technical Conference is taking place from 7 to 9 October 2025 at the AFROSAI-E Training Centre in Pretoria, South Africa. This year’s conference theme, Empowering NextGen SAIs, will explore how SAIs can strengthen audit quality, integrity, and future readiness in an era of digital transformation and emerging technologies.

The conference will build on the key discussions and resolutions from the recent Governing Board meeting on quality management and implementing ISSAI 140, as well as insights from leadership interventions. Participants will have the opportunity to exchange experiences, engage with thought leaders, and explore innovative approaches to embedding quality, ethical standards, and future-ready practices into their audit work.

A special focus will be on new guidance and interventions from AFROSAI-E, highlighting practical tools and resources that SAIs can leverage to strengthen institutional capacity and audit methodologies. Through interactive sessions, panel discussions, and breakaways, participants will gain strategic insights, practical knowledge, and peer-to-peer learning that can directly support the implementation of initiatives within their SAI.

This will be a hybrid event, with a livestream available for participants who cannot attend in person.
