Communication and Stakeholder Engagement Regional Workshop

AFROSAI-E defines certain aspects of Communication and Stakeholder Engagement (CSE) within the ICBF that the SAI should be implementing and provides guidance and training to support SAIs in these areas. This is the basis of the Regional CSE Workshop from 20-24 October 2025, in South Africa. This year, we are joined by representatives from the National Audit Office of the United Kingdom, who will co-facilitate the workshop.

The workshop theme is Reporting for Impact and aims to unpack the concept of impact through reporting and enhance SAI capacity to produce impactful reports. It will cover reports on SAI’s own performance and audit reports. We expect that participants will return to their SAIs and conduct in-house training on this subject for staff.

To ensure we achieve the workshop objectives and SAIs gain the most value from this capacity-building intervention, we encourage SAIs to consider nominating at least two participants for this workshop—ideally, one senior-level practitioner responsible for communication and stakeholder engagement, and one senior auditor.
