Theme: Developing Adaptive Capabilities

The dramatic economic, cultural and social transformations brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic has forced us to rethink the way we work as SAIs. Disruptive changes have become our new normal and developing the capacity to adapt to continuous change is therefore essential for SAIs to remain relevant. Our annual Technical Conference, previously referred to as the Technical Update, is an opportunity for our regional SAIs, partner institutions and stakeholders to engage on such topical issues.

We will again hold the Technical Conference as an online event this year. We have an exciting three-day programme planned that will feature topics and discussion around the theme Developing Adaptive Capabilities. A notable highlight on the programme will be the keynote address by Mr Graeme Codrington, a Futurist and industry expert on helping organisations adapt to disruptive change.

Discussion topics will range from mobilising SAIs to act on the Sustainable Development Goals, to charting professional career paths for performance auditors and professional accreditation for SAIs. We also look forward to sharing the latest updates on technical guidance and initiatives that we have planned for regional rollout or in development.

We welcome the participation of staff from our members SAI, regional working groups, development partners and other interested institutions.
