Regional Workshop: Sustainability Reporting
We are pleased to invite SAIs to nominate representatives to participate in an upcoming regional workshop tailored for auditors and corporate reporting staff.
This workshop is designed to strengthen knowledge and practical skills in sustainability reporting. While the core mandate of SAIs remains the delivery of impactful audits, there is a growing expectation that SAIs demonstrate leadership in transparency and accountability, particularly by reporting on their own sustainability performance. In addition, Parliaments increasingly expect SAIs to provide clear and credible reporting on their institutional activities, further reinforcing the importance of this capability.
The five-day regional workshop, themed “Leading by Example in Enhancing Accountability through Sustainability Reporting,” will be held in Pretoria, South Africa, from 11 to 15 May 2026. Through a combination of technical inputs and practical discussions, AFROSAI-E will facilitate sessions on understanding sustainability reporting standards, approaches to auditing sustainability-related information, and applying these principles within SAI reporting practices.
