AFROSAI-E is supporting the Office of the Auditor General for the Federation of Nigeria (OAG) in conducting a mid-term review of its current strategy. The review aims to assess progress to date, identify priorities for the remaining implementation period, and highlight capacity development needs.

Through this process, AFROSAI-E, together with other technical partners, will help ensure the OAG has the support it needs to achieve its strategic objectives, strengthen institutional performance, and continue making a meaningful contribution to public financial management and accountability.

In addition, AFROSAI-E is assisting the OAG in conducting environmental audits, which play a vital role in assessing government policies and programmes related to environmental sustainability. This support includes strengthening technical capacity, sharing audit methodologies, and facilitating knowledge exchange to enhance the OAG’s ability to assess compliance with environmental regulations and evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives aimed at protecting natural resources.

By strengthening these capabilities, AFROSAI-E is helping the OAG provide Parliament and the public with evidence-based insights that promote transparency, accountability, and sustainable development.
