Environmental Webinar 2 of 2026: Measuring Impact of Climate Change and Disasters: Leveraging disaster risk reduction for national auditing

June 23 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

Join us for an insightful webinar exploring how disaster risk reduction (DRR) frameworks, data systems, and monitoring mechanisms can be leveraged to strengthen national auditing processes and enhance public sector accountability.

The discussion will address key questions, including:
👉 What is the current status of climate- and disaster-related impacts worldwide?
👉 How have climate action and disaster risk reduction evolved at the global level?
👉 What monitoring, reporting, and accountability mechanisms are available?
👉 How can these mechanisms be applied in national auditing practices?
👉 What emerging opportunities exist for auditors and oversight institutions?

🎤 Guest Speaker

We are honoured to welcome Dr Animesh Kumar, Head of the UNDRR Office in Bonn.

Dr Kumar leads UNDRR’s global portfolio on climate action, data, and monitoring of the Sendai Framework, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and the Early Warnings for All initiative.
