AFROSAI-E is hosting a pivotal development workshop this week, bringing together technical experts and training specialists to refine and enhance the efficiency of financial audit processes based on the AFROSAI-E Financial Audit methodology, using the A-SEAT system.

A-SEAT, designed by AFROSAI-E, is a robust and highly customisable online audit management system tailored specifically for the SAI environment. It serves as a powerful tool to enhance audit documentation, improve workflow integration, and support audit quality. The recognised need to optimise the system further and enhance documentation processes has prompted this dedicated effort to ensure SAIs can maximise the system’s full potential.

The development workshop focuses on refining methodologies, integrating automation features, and ensuring clear, practical guidance for auditors. By equipping SAIs with the knowledge and tools to implement A-SEAT effectively, AFROSAI-E is reinforcing its commitment to strengthening public sector auditing across the region.

Next week’s regional training workshop will be a significant milestone in this journey, as SAIs will gain hands-on experience to implement some improved functionalities and best practices that have been developed. Through this initiative, AFROSAI-E continues to drive innovation and efficiency, empowering SAIs to enhance financial audit effectiveness and contribute to greater public sector accountability.
