As we close the year, we reflect on a highly productive fourth quarter for the A-SEAT programme, marked by successful pilot missions, system deployments, and capacity-building activities across our member SAIs.
Eritrea Pilot Support
In Quarter 4, the programme team delivered the Eri-SEAT pilot support mission, which focused on:
- Training teams on new system functionalities
- Providing refresher training for Directors and Supervisors
- Collecting user challenges and offering clarifications on system functionality (led by trained trainers)
- Updating project documentation
The mission concluded successfully, with participants showing strong commitment and actively engaging in hands-on exercises and feedback sessions.

Zimbabwe Rollout Support
This was followed by rollout support for SAI Zimbabwe, during which we trained 172 auditors and IT staff on the latest system functionality. The team also gathered valuable insights to strengthen the user experience.
Participants particularly highlighted the new ability to edit working papers online—an enhancement that exceeded expectations, significantly improving efficiency and saving time.

SAI Seychelles Deployment
Running concurrently was the final deployment of the year at SAI Seychelles, the newest institution to adopt A-SEAT. The system was deployed from 1–5 December, with training scheduled for 8–12 December.
SAI Seychelles plans to begin its pilot implementation in 2026, marking the continued expansion of A-SEAT across the AFROSAI-E region.

Zambia Rollout Support
The year will conclude with the Zambia A-SEAT Support mission, which will focus on supporting trainers and gathering requirements for the HR Module. This will be an opportunity to discuss and identify ways to further enhance the module’s functionality.
Looking Ahead to 2026
In 2026, we will continue supporting SAIs using A-SEAT with the strategic aim of strengthening their ability to apply digital technologies and techniques that improve audit efficiency and effectiveness.
Planned activities for the first quarter of 2026 include:
- Training SAI Belize in Pretoria in January, following the virtual deployment completed in November with their ICT team.
- Supporting SAI Sierra Leone with their pilot activities and conducting final auditor training.
We look forward to an exciting year ahead as we continue rolling out new system updates and enhancements designed to elevate the quality and efficiency of audit work across the region.
