AFROSAI-E is excited to announce the launch of its Strategic Plan for 2025–2029, a forward-thinking roadmap designed to strengthen Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) across our region and enhance their impact on public sector accountability.

Guided by the vision of “Making a difference in the performance of SAIs,” the plan focuses on developing SAIs into well-functioning institutions that produce value-adding audits. These objectives underscore our commitment to supporting SAIs in becoming resilient, independent, and efficient organisations capable of addressing the dynamic needs of their stakeholders.

Central to this plan is the belief that investing in developing skilled professionals is critical to building strong SAIs. By equipping audit teams with the knowledge, tools, and technologies they need, we ensure not only institutional growth but also the production of high-quality audits that drive meaningful change and improve governance.

Importantly, as a donor-funded organisation, the plan also highlights the critical role of existing and new development partners in supporting our mission. Expanding our network of supporters will be essential to achieving our ambitious goals for the next five years.

Speaking about the launch, the CEO of AFROSAI-E, Meisie Nkau, expressed enthusiasm for the journey ahead: “This Strategic Plan reflects our collective determination to address the unique challenges facing our region while building on past successes. It is a roadmap for how we, as a community, can continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of the citizens we serve.”
